Overview
Skills and Qualifications can be assigned to contacts in your Flex system so you can see what skills the contact has. This is useful for when you are assigning contacts to labor roles using the Staffing Assistant.
Adding New Skills and Qualifications
- On the System Settings menu, click Skills and Qualifications.
- Click New Skill in the Workbench Menu.
- Give the new skill a name, description, and default pricing model (optional).
- Click CREATE.
Editing Skills and Qualifications
- On the System Settings menu, click Skills and Qualifications.
- Double-click the skill / qualification that you want to edit.
- Edit the skill / qualification information.
- Click UPDATE.
Assigning Skills and Qualifications to a Contact
- Open the contact to which you want to add a skill / qualification.
- Click the Terms / Skills tab.
- In the Skills and Qualifications section, choose a skill / qualification from the drop-down menu.
- Change the skill level number as appropriate (typically 10 represents the highest skill level).
- Click the green plus icon.
Assigning Default and Associated Qualifications to a Service Offering
When you use the Staffing Assistant, you are assigning contacts to labor service offerings. To make the staffing process easier, you can assign a default qualification to a labor service offering so when you are trying to assign a contact to that labor role it will filter and show only contacts who have that skill / qualification.
- Open the labor service offering to which you want to add a default qualification.
- Choose a default qualification from the drop-down menu. You can also add multiple associated qualifications.
- Click UPDATE.
Now, when you use the Staffing Assistant to assign a contact to the labor service offering, the Staffing Assistant will automatically filter based on the default qualification that was chosen for the service offering. As a result, only contacts that have that skill / qualification will be listed as options to choose.
Deleting Skills and Qualifications
- On the System Settings menu, click Skills and Qualifications.
- Click the DELETE button in the row of the skill / qualification that you want to delete.
