Overview
Recurring billing is a combination of settings, which enable the ability to continuously send out duplicate invoices from a single quote. This feature is designed for situations involving recurring billing, such as long term rentals, leases, sales, and more.

Basic Configuration
First, start by creating the Repeat Automation Profile. Open Automation Profiles by clicking the Financials menu, then Automation Profiles.
Once open, click New Repeat Automation Profile so you can create the profile for recurring billing.
Give the automation profile a Description. In this example, we'll call it "Recurring Invoicing". Set the Target Document to "Invoice", and the Generate Workflow Action to "Generate Invoice".
Default Period and Default Day can be preset here, but overridden when configured on a quote.
For the Client Notification Template which will be used when a recurring invoice is generated, we can use the existing "Send Invoice to Client". We can ignore Client Notification Attachment, and set an internal notification by setting Internal Notification Template to "Send Invoice to Client" as well.
Distribution List can be pre-set here as well.
Click CREATE.
To complete the set-up process, activate the Automation Profile on the Quote Element. Open Project Elements. Click Projects, then Project Elements. Double-click the Quote line to open the project element settings for the Quote.
Then, select the Accounting Options tab and scroll to the bottom. Under Repeat Automation Profiles, check the "Recurring Invoicing" profile that you've created. Click UPDATE.
You have now completed the configuration process. Now you're ready to use recurring billing on projects that require it!
