Following.  I'm in the same situation, need to update general pricing but have 3 contract clients that need to stay the same.

    Bryan and Jennifer O'Neal,

There's not a way within the user interface to convert a multiplier based pricing model into a static one. But you have some options! See my updated post down below with some updated options in Flex5.

    Aaron,

Making sure we're on the same page.

Is there a way in the User Interface to copy a static pricing model to a new static pricing model?  I'm not necessarily looking to copy a multiplier pricing model to a static pricing model.

    UPDATED POST:

Now in Flex5, you can copy prices/costs from one static (“as entered”) Pricing Model to another static Pricing Model in the Inventory Worksheet.  This is found under the Hamburger Menu (top left corner) > Inventory > Inventory Worksheet.  At the very bottom of the Worksheet, click on the drop-down menu to select the Pricing Model Currency you want to work on. The Worksheet will now show Price Model related columns. To copy prices/costs, select some Inventory Models, then click on the vertical triple dot (“…”) at the top of the Price or Cost column that you want to copy from (only works for static Pricing Models). A popup will appear with options for copying from that Pricing Model to another static Pricing Model.

For the previously posted scenario of wanting to update the pricing of a base Pricing Model without affecting dependent Pricing Models that are multiplied against that base Model, this is not possible strictly speaking. However, perhaps here is a reasonable workaround.  Create a NEW static Pricing Model, and then copy the Price/Cost from the ORIGINAL base Pricing Model to the NEW Pricing Model.  Now you can update the pricing of the NEW Pricing Model, and use the NEW Pricing Model as the updated pricing in your system.  This will leave your ORIGINAL base Pricing Model and dependent calculated Pricing Models unchanged.

Also, note that you can now bulk change the pricing of multiple Inventory Models with a multiplier or % change. Under the vertical triple dot at the top of a Price column, select “Multiply selected line values”.  There, you will find options that will speed up the adjustment of Pricing if you can use a multiplier or % change.

If you specifically want to convert a calculated Pricing Model into a static one or copy a calculated Pricing Model, this can not be done in the user interface at this time.  However, I can offer this as a service as an endorsed Flex Consultant.  Please contact me if you would like assistance with this or other Flex needs.
