Flex5: Inventory Counts
Hello all!
It's the end of the year, so it's everyone's favorite time; inventory.
We have our inventory broken up into about 25 different groups in Flex5. E.g. speakers, sources, etc etc etc.
When creating a new inventory count, is it possible for have MULTIPLE inventory groups to count? Or is the answer have 25 different counts?

Hey Tom,
There's a feature in Flex5 called Count Group that allows you to do the counting (scanning) for multiple counts in 1 screen. You'll need to assign each count to the same "Inventory Count Group" under the count's settings. Once you've done that, you can click on the 3-dot ("...") menu to the left of any count, and you'll see an option for "Go to [count group name]". If you click on that, it will take you to a scan screen where you can count (scan) items that pertain to the counts that are a part of the group.

I'm personally very happy to see this feature as it works well for the strategies I use in consulting Flex customers in their inventory counts. I have not done rigorous testing of the feature yet, but you should find it as a simple way to scan items relating to multiple counts.

To clarify, you're suggesting that I can open a "power", Video", etc count, and have them all under the same group. Then I can do all of the scanning on the "group" and it'll apply that scan to whichever "count" category the item belongs to? That'd be so great for our power section and miscellaneous adapters so they don't have to worry about opening up different counts for a different department

Yes. Give it a try! Reach out if you want assistance with the process.
