Inventory Item Dashboards
Hi! For the first time, I am looking at the Utilization and Revenue Dashboards to learn how to use them to find out where gear was through a given time period or to judge how often a given piece of gear was used. I am wondering why the Utilization dashboard shows a different Qty than the Revenue dashboard, even with the filter tokens set the same way. Right up front, it should be stated that we do not at this time scan anything in or out of our system. We are paper-based (but are in the process of barcoding and implementing scanning this winter. Hooray!).
A non-serialized item, such as 25' 3-pin xlr, shows several hundred utilizations last year, but the Revenue dashboard shows less than 100. This makes sense, as this item in our company is not often on a quote; it is frequently added at the Pull Sheet level. But a serialized item, such as a 20k projector, shows fewer utilizations than the Revenue dashboard, again, with the same filter tokens. Is this simply because we do not utilize scanning, and therefore never actually check pull sheets in or out in Flex? Or is there something else for me to learn here about how Flex reports inventory usage?
