Creating a PO by Scanning Items?

Has anyone been able to create a parent equipment list by scanning items/plugging in barcodes instead of pulling from the search/inventory tree?

Looking to see if I can scan an item into flex via barcode and have it generate a PO-Style financial document from the information scanned.

Any advice?

  Hey Ian,

  Flex5 does not currently support scanning items to documents outside of a scanning screen. This functionality was available in our older interface of Flex4 but received a lot of backlash from customers who wanted the ability to inquiry scan while on a document instead.

  There have been discussions about implementing a setting to toggle on/off for that functionality, but as of now, there are no definitive plans for it.

  I would like to upvote this functionality to return. We would use this as short codes to enter items directly from the barcode field in addition to the drag and drop method
