can I copy inventory items from one quote and paste into another?
I tried the copy and past selected lines but that doesn't seem to carry the clipboard over to a different quote.
Is there another way to quickly copy some items in a quote over to another quote so to speak. We have items that were quoted I would love to just copy and paste into a transfer order.
thx,

I wanted to add that there are plans to make the copy-paste feature work between some different document types, starting with the same base elements and potentially moving on from there. That would mean you could copy from an invoice and paste in a quote for example. I don't have a timeline on this but we do know this is something that customers want.

Hey Robert,
The copy and paste feature only work between elements of the same kind. So while you can copy between 2 Financial Documents, you can not copy from a Financial Document to an Equipment List document. Transfer Orders are technically an Equipment List.
Hope that helps!

thanks Aaron. its what I thought was going on, but boy would this be so handy. We have 2 warehouse locations and a lot ot times we put together transfer orders based on jobs going on. It would be so nice to copy several lines and paste into the transfer order.
I did read up on a feature when dealing with shortages in a quote, and using the conflicts resolve to open up a transfer order, but that doesn't work in this case because it's not a company shortage just one of our warehouses.
I guess I will request this feature lol. -
Robert,
You can use the Logistics View for this purpose if I understand your need. Fill out the Xfer Qty and the Xfer Loc columns (tip: using the bulk edit menu can be helpful). You can edit the quantities to be whatever you like, even if there are no shortages. Then click on "Update Transfer Paperwork" in the Logistics menu in the right pane. It works a lot like pushing an update from a Quote down to a Pull Sheet. I would experiment first to get a feel for how it responds. I believe it will create a separate T/O for each location listed.
