Price Mute by default
Is there a way to have a default "Price Mute" setting that applies to all quotes? We have inconsistencies among our sales staff that we'd like to manage without needing to change personal habits! Some of our team enables PM and others do not. We'd like to have all quotes and invoices show with PM enabled.
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Hey Scott,
We currently don't have any plans to implement a PM by default feature, but you may be able to accomplish what you're trying to do by removing the Price column from the Working View (or whichever view you send to your client).
By Price Muting everything, you're nullifying that column on the report anyway, so all you'd have is the caption at the top of the column. You can keep the Price Ext. column to show your Subtotals if need be. If there's a need to display individual pricing on occasion, you could just replicate your Working View into a "Working View 2" where one view displays Pricing and the other does not. When you Generate PDF, the report will display according to the view that you're on at the time.

Thanks for the suggestion, Nick!
I've tried this and am pretty happy with the result. I have one more question, however:
We like to show our clients a subtotal for each category (lighting is 10,000 - video is 5,000, etc) Is there a way to have the subcategory totals show on our report, while not having the price ext field? From what I can see the subcategory totals is tied to the price ext field, which will then require a price mute to hide ext price of all items in the quote.
I hope this makes sense!
Thanks - Scott

Hey Scott, I don't think there is a way in the UI to do this by default. But I've done this with custom quote reports if you're interested. Maybe Nick Nazario will come back with something else, but I'm doubting it. A report adjustment is a common strategy for this type of scenario. I have a couple clients that show line-level pricing for Services, but not for equipment if you need some sort of hybrid as well. You can have a list of report options on the pop-up such as "Service Pricing - Y/N" and others.
