Non Serialized items not being marked as lost after finalizing manifest

    Hey Caleb,

Thank you for bringing these to our attention. Our Product team will be reviewing how Non-Serialized items are handled from the Free Scan In screen as well as when they're missing.

In the meantime, to address the first issue, I recommend running the "Unreturned Items Report" to see what items have been left unreturned - including those Non-Serialized items. Flex currently does not track Non-Serialized items as closely as Serialized so, when a Manifest is finalized with unreturned Non-Serialized items, they're left unaccounted for instead of being marked as "Presumed Missing".

By running the Unreturned Items Report, you can open each Manifest with unreturned items and use the "Manually Mark Line Items as Returned" function (icon with two checkmarks) to close out those old Manifests without affecting your inventory counts. This will remove those Manifests as options when using Free Scan In on Non-Serialized Models.

For the second scenario - again, Non-Serialized Models are not tracked as closely as Serialized ones, so knowing how many of a Non-Serialized Model needs to be scanned in from which Manifest is subject to human error. As a best practice, I don't recommend scanning in more than the quantity that was scanned out because this will throw off your inventory numbers. If you've received more items than were scanned out, they were likely either scanned out to another Manifest that they need to be returned to, or more items were physically sent than were scanned out. The straightforward fix for this is Serializing those items but if that's not a feasible option then I recommend training the warehouse staff to be sure they're following procedures that will prevent overscanning in the Return Screen.

    Thanks,
