Anyway to see ROI for items within Virtual Packages?
Hi All,
Might have a pickle on my hands here...
So the ROI dashboard on an individual item will not show ROI for any virtual packages that item is contained within (unless I am missing something). One would have to open the page for that package and look at that package's own ROI. This is a problem for some packages that have more than 1 bill-able item within the package (in this case PA stacks with tops over subs).
The inventory revenue report does not help, as rental instances as of the item within the package show as $0 rentals on that report. (Package itself is set with a package price, and the line-item rates of the package contents become $0 when inside the package.)
Is there anyway around this without re-building all my packages to use the suggestion box pop-up rather than the contents tab?

Hey Chris Johnson,
This is typically one of the cons of putting pricing at the virtual parent item level. With a custom report, we could give you some possibilities for associating that revenue. But we would need to develop clear logic about how you want that revenue of the parent item distributed to its child items. Generally speaking, if ROI information is important to you, then I would move towards Suggestions and have the pricing live at the individual piece (child) level.
Let me know if I can assist with some consulting time on this or development of a custom report.
