Resolving shortages with a virtual package
I have an issue where my item is a virtual package (9x16 screen kit). The virtual package doesn't show a shortage, all the individual items do. That's hard to match up with a rental supplier that might list the item just as 9x16 screen. Is there a best practice for this type of thing?

Hey Alex, you can put some or all of the individual items on the PO, and line mute them if you don't want them to appear for the vendor. Would that work for you?

It’s not so much that, as not being able to easily cover what I have on my quote with what’s on the PO. Because on my quote, it’s a Virtual Package so you can’t do anything with its conflicts. I feel like maybe I need to make a separate pseudo item that just says 9x16 screen kit and put that in when I know I’m going to subrent it. But I don’t know if that’s a good idea because then I feel like I lose the tracking associated with our real item. Maybe I’m over thinking it.
