Feature Request Multiple Misc Lines
It would be nice to have a popup window, when dragging in misc lines asking how many you would like to add. We rent backline and staging equipment and it can get rather bothersome to keep dragging in 1 misc line at a time. If we were able to tell it drag in XXX we could always do a bulk edit and delete the lines we don't need.
It would also be nice to be able to tab over to the next column instead of clicking on the column/cell being worked on, with the Enter key going to the first cell in the first column of the next line. We would still have to manually "click on WM, LM, PM,TM.
This functionality would be similar to working in Google Sheets/Excel.

Hi Mike Johnson,
You've got some good ideas, and you should definitely provide official feedback as Zach suggested. Though I doubt you'll see any updates in this regard in the short term. I do have a few suggestions that might help your issue:
One is creating actual inventory items for subrented gear rather than using Misc lines. You can create them as non-serial models, and get specific or generic as you want with the naming. I.e. "Misc Audio Equipment" or "Mackie SRM450". There are multiple benefits to this, such as actually being able to count/scan items in and out (as non-serials), being able to track how often you rent a particular item, and Flex's financial totaling functions sometimes work better with inventory lines rather than Misc lines. Pro tip - I like using the $ icon from the Icon Library for these items, to make it clear that they aren't owned, they cost money to provide on jobs.
If you start using inventory items rather than Misc items for this purpose, you can then utilize all of the inventory features with them, such as suggestions, contents, packages, subs/alts, etc. This could negate the need to do a lot of muting, as you alluded to. You could create "popup" windows of suggested items, which can greatly reduce the manual drag+dropping required, whether for subrented items or owned items.
Another way to reduce the manual mute efforts is with custom reports. For example, customizing your quote report so that subrent-only items are always shown Price Muted.
If you'd like any more information on this, reach out to hello@squarewave.com.au - Square Wave is an endorsed Flex consultancy and we've helped many Flex users with issues like this. We offer a free introductory consultation - I'd be happy to elaborate further on any of this information then!
