Content Builder Substitutions
I think I am missing something simple. In the Storage Requirements of a Serialized Storage item, the right-hand column asks "Substitutions Permitted." I understand this to mean that an alternative/substitution can be chosen in place of the item listed. For the items that are marked "Yes," how is a substitution made when in Content Builder?
The practical use case: A case of comms gear is represented as Serialized Storage in flex. One of its storage requirements, a standard beltpack, is out for repairs, and there are no more of that model available in inventory. The standard beltpack inventory item allows for a few different alternative models to be used. When in Content Builder for the comms case, there is no indication of the possible alternatives for the missing beltpack. If an alternative model is scanned into the comms case, the case still indicates that it is not complete. What am I missing?

We have this same question. It seems like substitutions and alternatives are only useful in the Quote document to satisfy conflicts.
It would seem logical for substitutions and alternatives to be available for use inside the Content Builder!
It would also seem logical for substitutions and alternatives to be the guardrails for substitutions when satisfying pull sheets, but it seems like you can just substitute anything for anything else at that part of the workflow!
