Revenue Dashboard pull from Quotes and not Invoices
Hello,
We have over the last few months started to utilize Incremental Invoices often, to either create a deposit and balance invoice or create a single invoice that doe snot list equipment. Generally we are not interested in sending line item invoice to clients or pushing that to QB, but rather like having the line "See Order xxxxx" for x dollars on the invoice.
I have noticed a serious issue with that however, in that none of the shows I have invoiced in that way have their equipment show up on the revenue dashboard or any revenue reports. Is there a way to tell Flex to pull all income reporting for the revenue dashboard and reports from quotes and not invoices?

Hey Evan,
Most of this functionality is, I believe, tied to the "Accounting Type" for the element definition on its "Accounting Options" tab. "Budgetary" is what quotes generally use. "Accounts Receivable" is what Invoices generally use. "Accounts Receivable" is what Flex uses for actual revenue. With reports, it's just going to depend on how the report was written.
I don't immediately recommend switching your Quotes to "Accounts Receivable" as there may be unintended consequences. You could order a beta instance (a copy of your current instance for testing) from Flex and do some testing on your own. If you would like outside assistance, I can do testing in my own system and let you know the results. I can also modify reports for you if you would like to keep all your settings the same, but have the reports utilize your quotes for revenue purposes.
