Tiered Pricing with flat value instead of mulitplier
Hi All,
I am trying to setup some tiered pricing, but the prices I have been given are flat rates given to me by my higher ups that I would like to maintain. Using the multiplier will result in slightly different numbers than I have been given.
Example: I have a installed audio system in a hall and been given a price of $730 for single room, and $1220 for 2 rooms. With a .67 multiplier, the 2 rooms results in a price of $1219.10. We would like to maintain the flat $1220 for 2 rooms. Is there anyway to do this? The multiplier will not recognize or calculate beyond 2 decimal places.
I know I can create a separate inventory item for 2 rooms, but if I can do it with a single inventory item and the tiered pricing, that would be swell.
Thanks All

Hey Chris,
Play around with the Inventory Worksheet. It allows for copying rates from one pricing model to another. And then you can use the Multiply option to adjust the new pricing model rates. It even has a rounding feature. Just know that if you utilize this strategy, the new pricing model will be completely independent of the original pricing model. The new model will not dynamically adjust pricing when you update pricing of the old model.

Hi Chris,
It's been a while since I've had to do something like this, but I believe, if you open the inventory model itself, then click on the Pricing tab, you should see any of your "Tiered Pricing" models listed. Clicking on the "Tiered Pricing" link in the cost or price column will open the manual tiers popup, from there you can set a value that is "hard coded," rather than calculated. You might still have to enter something like $610 for the 2-room option so that a quantity of 2 equates to the desired $1220 result, but I'm pretty sure this will get you where you want to be.
