We have a production vehicle, which is available for rental and would be added as an "Inventory" item.

However, we also want to provide our clients delivery options using this vehicle--which typically I would create as a "Service" similar to when we bill for shipping. However, I'd need to know when creating quotes whether this Delivery Service conflicts with a Rental of that vehicle over a given date period. 

Does anyone have advice on the best way to set up something like this?

  Hi info,

  By definition, Services do not have "availability," nor do they create conflicts. I recommend creating an Inventory Model that defines the "type" of vehicle (e.g., 24' Box Truck) as a Serialized Model, then adding the appropriate number of "units" for the number of vehicles of that type that you own. Use the Model on your Quotes and availability will work as expected.
