Best approach to scanning gear that delivers straight to a venue?
Wondering how people approach scanning gear that delivers straight to the venue?
On one hand - I want to scan everything received and prepped to keep inventory numbers accurate and SOP streamlined. On the other, weight manifests are now inflated and gear lists are consolidated to show both gear that came from my warehouse and from a vendor's warehouse, which makes things difficult to sort on-site.
I considered making a free-pick container called "On-Site Deliveries" that we could virtually scan to, that would keep inventory numbers on track and make it easy for on-site teams to track gear, but it doesn't solve the weight manifest issues.
Is there an easier fix that I'm missing?

Hi Marcus Corona,
One thought that comes to mind is Partial Pull Sheets. These are configured in Projects > Element Definitions > Pull Sheet > Copy Targets by choosing a Partial Copy Target. With that enabled, you can more easily create a second Pull Sheet for just the items that are being delivered directly. This solution will provide you with two separate Manifests, thus keeping your weight correct for the gear on your truck.
As part of that process, you'll want to make sure to delete the "duplicate lines" from the primary Pull Sheet that way availability is correct before, during, and after scanning. You'll still need to do all the regular scanning steps on the Partial, but you may find that the timing of some steps is less critical than for the primary Pull Sheet.
