Finalized Manifest: "Non-serialized line items not returned"

Return Manifest: I have been virtually scanning non-serialized line items to return them in bulk. When I appear to have finished the return and I Finalize, I often get a message "[2] non-serialzed line items not returned" The number changes on different occurrences, but usually stays in single digits. The Return Manifest still shows 100% complete and there are no line items that I can see to continue returning. There is no indicator what these items are, and the prompt does not have any action item, it is just a message.
