Sub-Rental Inventory Items
When working up a quote, we have inventory items that belong to our company and physically are in my shop, but there are items that I have to sub-rent and are not mine nor are they in my shop.
For example: we handle a film screening series for a client. They ask me to also help them with 200 black padded chairs and some theatrical red pipe and drape. I then turn around and ask my event rentals vendor to supply this. They pay me, I pay them.
The way I do it, is I've added these items in my inventory list so that I can add to quote/invoice. The problem with that is when I go to pull an inventory report, these items all come up on that list.
Is there a way to add a separate inventory list that is just made up of sub-rental items?

Hey Ernie,
Not really. But if you keep them in a separate parent inventory group (folder), you can run the reports and more easily sort out items that are affiliated with that group. The Inventory Export report works well for this. Also, most reports in Flex can be customized if you need help with that. We can have a version of a report ignore that inventory group or filter out items in some other differentiating way. Let me know if I can be of assistance with that or anything else. Thanks Ernie!
