Custom Field Auto-generate a date
I have a custom field on my quotes that show a Quote valid date. Any one know a way I can have this field auto-generate a date based on the start date of the quote?

Hey David, I don't know of any way to add intelligence to a quote custom field. It will have to remain a manual process. Sorry David. Let me know if I can be of service.

Yep, as Aaron answered it is not possible. I have come up with a workaround by adding some custom logic to the quote report.
If the Valid Until field is not set, then the quote report shows a Valid Until date of 30 days after the report is generated. While you can't see that internally in Flex, at least it is automatically communicated to the client via the report.

Thanks for your response guys. I am however mostly looking for functionality within Flex to help my sales reps with their quote followup and so forth.
I was hoping to find a field that functioned much like the Deposit Due Date that generates a date based on the values set in my various payment terms.

Hi David-
It sounds like you're not into it, but again a custom report could do that for you. Something like a 'Quote Follow-ups Required' report which was emailed to the sales team every week, showing unconfirmed quotes grouped by account manager and flagging those which are approaching or within the danger zone that you have set. There is the Quotes Unconfirmed 30 Days report built-in to Flex which might even do what you need?
