Containers in Containers
Hello there, we just started using Flex back in January and as we've been setting up our inventory we've come across one persistent problem. So I have a serialized storage case (Shipping case) that has many different items (both serialized and not) and some of those items are located in their own serialized storage case (Small bag) I have the items that are within the bag as storage requirements of the serialized Shipping case (but not the Small bag) and I can add the small items to the Small bag serialized storage, but when I go to add the serialized Small bag to the serialized shipping case, the items that are inside it are not shown as fulfilling the requirements of the Shipping case. So how do I make the Small bag that contains the items add them to the Shipping case if it's now located in said Shipping case? Any help would be appreciated!

Hey Mac & Jacob, while I think it's a good feature request, the satisfying of Storage Requirements is not designed to work in a tiered fashion (containers within containers). Only items directly in the container satisfy that container's requirements, as you may have discovered.
However, the container within the container can have its own Storage Requirements. In Mac's original example, the Small Bag would have its own requirements that are satisfied by its contents. Then the Shipping Case would have the Small Bag as part of its requirements, but not the Small Bag's contents since those would be a part of the Small Bag's requirements and contents. You would have 2 content builder processes to do in this scenario. You can continue this trend down as many tiers as you need to go (container, within container, within container, etc.)
I've done this sort of structure for clients, and it works well if staff is trained properly. Let me know if you would like some direct consulting help. I'm endorsed by Flex.
