Jaspersoft custom reports - images & varying column headers

Hello,

Two questions related to building custom reports for Flex....

#1 What have people found is the most effective way of adding external images to custom reports, for example visual theming elements? Since they can't be included in the XML code, do people typically have hard links to images in an internet facing folder, or is there something I'm missing?

#2 If I wanted to have different column headers for different item types (for example, labor vs rental) is the best way to do that via some sort of "if type = whatever then" code for each instance?

  Hopefully I can draw some attention to #2 by answering #1!
  
  If you're working with custom reports, and would like to add visual elements, you can submit a support ticket by emailing support@flexrentalsolutions.com to have the images uploaded to your instance of Flex.
  
  Support will then email you back the links you'll use to insert those elements into your report(s).

  Note: Images need to be in JPEG or PNG format.
