GL Accounts Tab - Bulk Edit Available?

I am rebuilding our inventory from an import. A lot of info does not carry over and I am currently going thru line by line entering info. The most time consuming is entering the GL Accounts for the resource types. For 99.9% of our inventory the Sales and Purchase Accounts are the same for the Resource Types.

 

The System setting the Resource Type already has the Sales and Purchasing Account GLs selected.

 

Is there a way to push or bulk edit inventory so the GL Tab get populated with the setting for that resource type?

  Atticus-

  My understanding (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) is that GL accounts are inherited based on a heirarchy of:

  Resource Type

  Inventory Group

  Inventory Item

   

  So if you set for the resource type, that is the default. If you set for the inventory group, that overrides. If you set for the item, that overrides.

   

  Have you tried setting for your parent inventory groups?

  There was a bug 5 years ago that probably still exists if you set item level GL accounts where you would get issues exporting to QuickBooks because various "'" symbols weren't escaped properly.

  Set them at the parent level and they will inherit.
