Online Payment Portal?
Is there currently a way to integrate a payment portal in to Flex? As it stands right now, our business has a pretty lengthy process to accept credit card payments. It is a time consuming and cumbersome experience for our clients & staff and is generally not in line with the customer experience we aim to achieve through our productions. We're aware of the credit card company's %, but we're willing to sacrifice that for having a system that works well for our clients.
We've got the QB integration, so maybe there's something there? I've not explored that area yet...just wanted to check with the hive mind to see what everyone else does!
Thanks!

Hello everyone,
For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, Flex is going to be releasing the option to receive payments using a company called PayEngine. You can sign up for early access on October 21st or it'll be open for general availability on November 1st.

Hey Scott,
No direct integration at this time from Flex. They'll likely implement it in the future at some point.
Other options my clients use. I do a lot of custom sales stack reports for clients with their own graphically designed look and feel. I've had customers that will take their sales stack or quote PDF that comes out of Flex and upload it into another service for purposes such as document signatures and I would assume payment processing as well.
Yes, QuickBooks offers payment processing. You can send invoices directly from QB, and it will allow clients to pay online easily. They have CC and ACH payment options. Some of my clients will send their custom sales stack directly to the client, but then send the invoice through QB when it's time to receive payments. I'm pretty certain they also offer payment processing on your mobile devices as well if you happen to be standing with the customer, including optional swipe devices.
Hopefully, that will offer some ideas. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

I think this is the most important feature missing from flex. The ability to receive payments directly through an integrated system.
Thanks for the recommendation Kyle, I'll take a look at Melio Payments.
Additionally, it would be great to be able to send out Rental Agreements, COI Requests and Start Paperwork through Flex to on-board a client, rather than having to do it manually or via docusign.

Is there an update to this? Is there still no option to collect payment through Flex? For the premium cost of this software, you'd think they would just partner with Stripe or Square to offer this. Or offer an option such as Zapier or through API to get this to work. This is really all that is keeping us from pulling the trigger on Flex.

Hey Justin, someone from Flex will likely chime in here, but my understanding is that the Flex-PayEngine is currently under development and in alpha testing. So there is forward progress on this front.

Great news. Hopefully this won't be yet another monthly cost for a module, aside from the processing fees.
Couple of questions...
1) Will it have ability to pass on processing fees to clients? (legal in our state)
2) ACH payment option?
3) What about ability to keep credit card on file and charge additionally for damage or late returns? (Currently available with Stripe & Authorize.net)
4) Additional user accounts to be able to reconcile, process refunds, etc? (Admin, Bookkeerper/Accountant, Manager, Sales Reps, etc)
Thanks, and look forward to trying it out. -
