Overview
In the past, creating or editing a pricing model tier with a “Start Effective Time” and/or “End Effective Time” would associate the set times with the time zone of that user's home base location. This led to rendering issues when that tier was viewed by users whose home base locations were in a different time zone. Using the pricing model on an element with a different time zone than where it was set up could potentially cause a calculation issue.
What is the Migrate Pricing Tiers popup?
As of April 25, 2024 (release version 0.27.96) these times will no longer be associated with a user's time zone when creating new tiers or saving edits to existing tiers. Tiers that have not been edited will continue to have the previous user's time zone associated and will need to be adjusted. To make this as convenient as possible, we have implemented a popup that will populate all tiers and allow you to remove the time zones all at once.
If an instance has only ever had one location, simply launching the Migrate Pricing Tiers popup and clicking OK will be sufficient. However, if an instance currently has multiple locations or has ever had multiple locations, a review may be necessary after launching the popup. If the times in the popup do not appear to be correct, clicking the Edit Tiers icon will allow you to manually adjust the times. After the times have been adjusted and saved, you should no longer expect to see them in the Migrate Pricing Tiers popup. Note: tiers from deleted pricing models are expected to populate in the popup.
Accessing the Migrate Pricing Tiers Popup
To access the Migrate Pricing Tiers popup:
- On the Main Menu, go to System Settings > Pricing Models.

In the footer, click Migrate Pricing Tiers.
Only users with the "System Administrator" permission granted can access this option.

Once the Migrate Pricing Tiers popup launches (as shown below), review the "Effective Time" columns and make sure they list the times you would expect.
- We recommend consulting the user(s) who created the tier(s).
- If the times are not correct, click the Edit Tiers icon (located in the far right column of the row) and manually adjust the times. After the tier has been adjusted, it will no longer populate in the Migrate Pricing Tiers popup.
- If all times are correct, check the "I Agree" checkbox and select OK.
