Yes, the Inventory Export report, with the Units option set to yes, will include a column for the RFID Tag associated with your inventory units. No, Passive Tags are only powered or triggered once an RFID scanner is used. Active Tags may cause an interference because they continuously broadcast their own signal. Passive RFID tags offer a smaller general footprint, lower cost-per-tag, higher read ranges, and can last virtually forever without a battery. Active RFID tags offer a read range greater than passive RFID tags, increased capability with features like GPS tracking, and extremely rugged product offerings. We are currently not resellers and are not currently able to provide you with tags in bulk. Zebra RFD8500 FAQ
No, the RFD8500 will function with virtually any modern device which can communicate with other devices with bluetooth. This includes all recently released and currently maintained iOS, iPadOS, and Android devices. (i.e. - still receives software updates) The Quad Lock adapter that comes with the RFD8500 is designed for use with phone-sized devices. No, the RFD8500 can be put into bluetooth pairing mode at any time, by long-pressing the dedicated bluetooth button on the device- It can then be paired with a new device. It is important to note that the scanner will automatically try to reconnect to the closest and most recent device the scanner has been connected to. Don't get locked out of your phone by scanning to the lock screen! Please see Configuring an RFID Scanner With the default configuration, you can double-pull the trigger to either enable to disable the on-screen virtual keyboard on your connected device. Whenever possible, only use the micro USB cable that is included with your scanner, when connecting it to 123Scan. The separate charging cable also included with your scanner can not be used with 123Scan. If you are not able to use the micro USB cable included with the scanner, ensure any cable you use is one for data and power- some micro USB cables are power only. The setting which controls this is called Timeout, and by default, it is set to 1800 seconds, or 30 minutes. Does the RFD8500 only work with specific devices?
