Labor Update Notifications

    Hi Aaron,

For something like this, we typically recommend creating a Workflow Action that would notify the Labor Coordinator to check the element for changes. There are no "automatic" options for the simple reason that we don't assume a given change is "final." For example, maybe the account manager makes a mistake on first entry, they go back to edit, then realize they missed a whole other change, etc.

With a manually-triggered Workflow Action, one can be much more confident that a notification is intentional, rather than accidental. Reach out to support if you need assistance configuring the action.

    Hey NC Aaron,

I have done an auto-emailing custom report strategy for this same reason for a client.  The report shows jobs with labor that have had changes within the last x number of days and is sorted with the most recent changes at the top.  It seems to work really well for them.  If you think that strategy would be effective for you, let me know and we can discuss implementation.

Thank you both for your input! I am going to check out workflow actions to see if it satisfies what our labor coordinator is looking for.

Randy - Flex Staff - If I understand your reply, the solution you propose would require multiple manual actions on the part of both the account manager, who is making the staffing change, and the labor coordinator, who needs to find the change in the linked Quote. The automatic you described was instant, happening every change, which of course is undesirable. This workflow needs daily self-reporting with details.

Is there a report already available in Flex that lists unfilled Staffing roles in a given date range?
