Adding a couple boxes in the Edit Quote Element

I want to put a Room Name on my quotes on the header. I was able to do this in Flex 4 but I can't figure out how to do it in Flex5, suggestions??

  Hey Alex Triana,

  You can add it as a custom field to your documents.  If you have admin access, you'll go to Main Menu > Projects > Element Definitions > Quote > Custom Field tab.  There you can add a custom field for the room. Set the field type to "Text".  If you want it to hand off to child documents like Invoices and Pull Sheets, then go to the other elements and add the custom field there.  You must use the same custom field number and everything match exactly for it to handoff successfully.

  To add it to the header of the Quote, go to the Views tab of the Quote element settings, double-click on the View you want to add it to, then add the new field under the Header Block Columns tab.  Chime back or reach out directly if you get hung up somewhere.  Also, I'll mention that I'm a Flex Endorsed Consultant if you would like any direct assistance with your Flex system or related solutions.

  Thank you Aaron. It doesn't seem that I can edit or add a custom field. I can change the field type and the required box but there's no button nor can I double click on a custom field to edit it to change the wording to Room Name

  Hey Alex, you should be able to change the Caption column which is basically the custom field name.  That's how you'll reference it when you add it to the header.  So you only need to edit the caption and the field type to get it to work for you.  Does that solve it for you?

  I can't edit the Custom Field [Number]. I tried clicking and double clicking on it

  You don't edit the Custom Field number.  You just edit the caption (what you want to name it) and the field type.  But when you add it to the header, it will be listed by the caption you entered.
