Substitution/General Support Question
Anyone else having issues with Substitutions? We've had this issue since mid '23 and it's falling on deaf ears, so a few questions here.
1. Let's say we have a line of 10 Speakers w/1 IEC Cable each. If we sub the line for another speaker, the contents line multiples itself by the total line quantity. for example it will now show 10 speakers with 100 IEC Cables needed. Most painful is wireless microphones with several content items (belt packs, lavs, handhelds, mic clips, receivers etc) Chris and I had a call in October where it was supposed to be looked into, but never heard back and after multiple emails asking for a follow up - the response was this was a "feature request"?!? This is a bug and used to work well, not sure if it something in our settings or what, but to get no help for such an obvious issue is frustrating (not to mention, being ignored by Chris)
Anyone have any insight on this? Would be much appreciated!
2. Anyone else with bug issues that isn't getting a resolution/answer or being told it's a "feature request"?
Thanks,
-
Our workflow has Warehouse staff Review and edit Quotes prior to Pull Sheets being created to factor in Availability and any Show to Show Transfers that would be required. We have a structure to this so that the staff start with the small budget shows and work their way up. This way there is no need to do any substitutions in the prep stage.
We asked for the ability to have some Either Inventory Lines or Service notes be able to default populate on Quotes and the response was to do either a Feature Request or take their "Project Management Training"
Most bug related things I request are usually met with a "We are working on it" (paraphrased, of course) and rarely have any timeline attached as to when there could be a solution

Ahh, Sorry I misunderstood your post.
We currently aren't using "Substitute" at the quote level. We Have been just adding new lines to the quotes. For us and our customers this currently works best as we can keep the initial line on the Quote and Warehouse mute it, then Line Mute and Total Mute the substituted piece. For us, since we are both renting the gear and providing the Technicians this has been the easiest way to manage this as most of our substitutions are for and equal piece of gear and it doesn't necessarily always matter to the client that we changed something as the end result is always the same.
We will likely be implementing the Substitute at quote level to make reviewing more user friendly but we haven't got there yet.

For those following along, #1 is being acknowledged as a bug now. If you want to submit your own support ticket to help prioritize the fix, you can mention mine which is 98297 for quick association.
