TV Road Cases
We have about 20 road cases with the same/similar TVs, 4 or 5 to a case. I am trying to setup a system where we can scan the barcode on the road case and then scan each TV inside said case and have Flex input those TVs in the case, is that possible? Reason I ask is that our TVs often get switch around in different cases while on site and its not an issue that this happens but we still want to track what TVs are in what cases. Thank you!

So I was able to figure out how to check out the TV road cases using Serialized Free Pick Storage Container but I am still struggling with how to check in multiple road cases where the TV have been move around and are not in the same cases they left the warehouse in. In a perfect world we would prefer to have the exact reverse of the check out process, is that possible? Where you scan the case in and then scan whatever TVs are in it. That way it saves us from having to move a bunch of TVs to assigned cases.

Hey Aaron,
You've obviously discovered Free Pick scanning, but there's also Content Builder in Flex. Basically, Content Builder is how you have Flex memorize what is in a case when it's in the warehouse. This is different from Free Pick which is specifically done during the outbound scanning. The case's preset has to be set to something like "Serialized Storage" or "Serialized Free Pick Storage Container" for Content Builder to work. After that, you'll have access to container building for the applicable cases. Just scan a case when you are on the Home tab and it will automatically go into Content Builder mode.
For returns, generally speaking, you return the tv case and all of its contents individually through the Return Screen, and then afterwards go into Content Builder for the case and scan the contents that will go back into a case. This way, when you go to scan the case out for the next job, you don't have to scan all the contents, but just scan the case and all the contents will automatically get added to the manifest.
There are other nuances to this stuff and even some "cheats" for speeding this up. Let me know if you'd like some direct training. I'm endorsed by Flex.
