Conflicts Between Back to Back Shows
We have situations where show number #1 is set to load out at 1pm, and show #2 loads in at 1:30pm. Flex doesn't catch conflicts between the two shows because they don't overlap, but the gear for #1 won't be available for #2 because it takes time to be broken down, packed on a truck, returned the shop, checked, and then sent back out.
Is there a feature to account for load out duration time so that the system will catch conflicts on shows that are back to back but don't overlap?

Hi Brian Smith,
Flex uses the "Start Date" and "End Date" values (configured in the Date & Times tab of Element Definition configuration) to determine availability. If you're setting these to the dates and times when the jobs leave and return to your warehouse, this issue won't exist. If, however, you're using the load in and load out dates, the system won't work as expected, as you've experienced. For keeping track of load in and load out dates, Flex has specific fields where those can be entered. Those fields can be enabled in the Element Definitions config "Field Settings" tab.

Hey Randy, thanks for the response.
We have it set up were each event has a Setup, Show Start, Show End, and Strike time so it doesn't cover the breakdown and transit time, as you said. I'm not sure if this is something we would change as it might confuse our staff, but it's good to know that is a potential solution to this issue.
Somewhat related, I noticed when editing Inventory Models there are fields for prep/deprep time. Do either of those have an impact on availability?

Hi Brian Smith,
So, you could retain Setup and Strike, but correctly allow for availability dates by swapping some captions around. I'm making assumptions here as I don't know which instance you work in. But I'd assume that the Start/End dates have been captioned Setup/Strike, so you'd want to move those to the Load In/Out dates under the Field Settings tab. This then cascades; you'll need to update any views where those are shown so that the captions match the changes. Unfortunately, Pull Sheets (really any Equipment List) don't have fully user-configurable views, so it might get weird there.
As for the prep/deprep time, no, those have no affect on availability. Those are used for estimation and are available on the List View of calendars as well as in document headers (the mini header of a Quote, for instance).
