Suggestion Type?
What are the benefits of having more "suggestion types?" Right now, our suggestion types are pretty basic:
Power, Speaker Cable, General Associated Part, Signal Cable & Power Cable
I'm in the process of revamping our inventory methods and could use some guidance. Do the suggestion types do anything other than categorize inventory? What are the long/short term benefits to a more diverse layout? Thank you in advance!

Hey Joseph,
The benefit is not much if your suggestion lists are small. I usually keep some generic named ones like "Suggestions $+" where it's just 1 tab of suggested items that will add pricing ($) and be placed as a child (+). I usually let my needs drive the amount of suggestion types created. If you have a large package where you need to select from "Monitors", "Screens", "Cable Packages", etc, then I might create those categories as suggestion types for labeling and grouping purposes. That way the decision for the sales staff is organized across multiple tabs nice and clean. But I wouldn't feel the need to make a ton of suggestions types before you need them. That would be my recommendation.
