Is there a way to make the contents of a package unavailable while still having "Storage Requirements"?

An example: 

We have video patch kits that always hold a number of small items including some serialized adapters and we'd like the serialized adapters to be unavailable so we don't end up stealing from the patch kits when folks request more than we actually have on the shelf.

Hope this makes sense.

  Hey Stace,

  Unfortunately, once you flip the Contents Available boolean to "No", the Storage Requirements option goes away.  I've requested this not be the case a few times over the years, but I don't think they've had enough demand to warrant the change.  I'm almost certain this area of the settings is being revisited somewhere on the roadmap of Flex5.  I don't know if that would be an early or late feature change.  Thanks Stace!

  With the way we build packages, this comes up a bit. So I hope they do indeed look at it.
