It would be great if Flex 5 could have a feature that allowed multiple departments to be assigned to documents. I would venture to say that many Flex using companies out there operate with multiple departments, such as Audio, Lighting, Video, Rigging, etc etc. For those users that want to be able to filter calendars to only include documents/ elements that pertain to their department, this feature would be very useful.

  Thomas Ruffner, maybe not the solution you're looking for, but commonly my clients will create combo departments.  Such as A/V, or A/V/L, or V/L, or etc.  It may make for a fair amount of departments, but would likely satisfy the categorizing need you described.

  Aaron Horn, Thanks for the suggestion and that is how we are currently using this feature but ultimately its fairly useless and no at all elegant. Still hopeful that Flex 5 might include updates for this feature in some future release.
