    Hey Bryan,

You can do this with Report Groups, and add the "Default Financial Document" as an option to the T&C Prompt report.  Do you know how to use Report Groups?

This is really good feedback.  I have a tendency for tunnel vision and think that people will want to click a button for the Quote document and then choose the terms to attach to this, this makes the setup more complicated.  The suggestion by Aaron is much simpler though people need to understand what is going to happen.  I will either make a video or do a Webinar on this because I believe this would help out a lot of people.

    Thanks, Aaron!

@..., it would be even better if the T&C Prompt could be built by Flex to be an available Report Group.  Then you could add it to any Quote report as a Group when editing the Quote report's Preferences.  Maybe it's more difficult to code than I realize, but that would be the ideal solution from the user perspective I believe.  It would be more intuitive than my workaround described previously.

I completely agree.  I've always figured there was some limitation on why this doesn't work that way.  I'll bring it up with the team but because there are reasonable workaround options then I'm sure it will be a little lower priority.  In the meantime, I'll do a Webinar on this topic and display a couple of the options including the one you mentioned above.

    Thanks.

I tried the Report Groups and Report Settings as recommended by Aaron and it worked just like we needed.

I do a quote, I select "Default Terms & Conditions with T&C Prompt" then I select which set of Terms and Conditions I want and voila, preassembled quote with correct T&C for installs, sales, rentals or productions.  Even client specific Terms & Conditions.

    Thanks for your help Aaron.

Now.  If I could only select specific T&C when I e-mail the quote to the client through Flex.

I'm looking to do something similar as the original person however I'm not sure how to go about doing it. I've tried to find videos on their YouTube page and there is nothing that will help. Aaron or Markus could you please explain?

    Hey Kate Gogolen,

To setup a Report Group, go to System Settings > Report Groups.  Create a new one. Element Type should be Financial Document. Include Mode should be "Before First Page". Then select the Quote reports you want as options for the group and also set the Default Report if you like.

To turn the Report Group on for the "Default Terms & Conditions with T&C Prompt" report, I believe you have to be in Flex4 currently. Go to System Settings > Report Preferences. Open the T&C Prompt report. At the bottom, click on "ENABLE REPORT GROUP". Select the new Report Group you made, and select a default report (yes it's redundant, and I can't remember which one actually triggers the default report selection).

If you already have the "Default Terms & Conditions with T&C Prompt" report turned on for you Quotes, you should be good to go. If you don't know how, reply back. Once it's added, just select that report from your Quote, and on the pop-up, you'll be able to choose both the T&C as well as the quote report you want to precede it on the PDF.

    Hope that helps!

    Hey Guys,

Reading through this, I fell like I'm missing something. I want to generate a pdf from a quote, and be able to select from 2 different sets of T&C's. Should I not be able to:

    a) Upload the 2nd set to the T&C setting page and set default to "no".

    b) Go "projects"; "element definitions"; "quote"; "reports" tab

    c) inside the "default print format" box at the top: Put my "default financial document" as first report. Underneath, put "Default Terms and Conditions w/T&C prompt".

When using "generate pdf" from the quote work bench, should I not get the option to select which T&C I want?

If "Default Terms and Conditions w/T&C prompt" is enabled as an element level report, I get to choose which T&C to use. Why don't I get that prompt when "Default Terms and Conditions w/T&C prompt" is in the default report stack?

    Thanks

    Hey Chris,

The Generate PDF mechanism doesn't offer the ability to choose the parameters of the individual reports that are stacked within it.  So you never get the T&C prompt you're looking for.  The workaround I was offering was to add a report group to the "Default Terms & Conditions with T&C Prompt" report that has the quote(s) report you want.  Instead of running Generate PDF, you'll run the "Default Terms & Conditions with T&C Prompt" report, which will allow you to choose the T&C and also choose a Quote report from the report group you just added.  Then they'll come out together as 1 pdf.  Make sense?

    Hi Aaron,

Ok something isn't right here. I have deleted all T&C documents from the corporate identity settings and the T&C settings, and I still have my original terms printing out on documents. Is there somewhere other than the Corporate Identity Settings or the Terms and Conditions Settings that Flex can be pulling terms from?

    Thanks
