Snapping Drop Mode User Setting

I think it would be a nice user setting or check box to be able to make it so that it will always default to Auto Drop Mode and if I do need to use Insert or Add it would snap back to Auto after I inserted or added that one item. I have noticed that at times when I am working on a quote and I need to switch over to the Insert Drop Mode, that I forget to switch back to Auto Mode and end up having to redo parts of my quote.

  Hi Alex, I kind of agree with you but with a twist! I've been asking for year for the team to do Modifier keys so that once you select and item and start dragging it could could use modifier keys so for instance if you hit "control" it will insert the item, if you hit"option" it will auto the item and if you hit "command" then it will add the item.

  Because of the way we build our quotes, almost always in custom subtotals, then we use Insert about 75% of the time but then do use Auto for the remming 25% and add is a once in a blue moon use but I frequently start dragging an item and then realise that I'm in the wrong mode so have to release the items, change the mode, the re select the item and drag again, would just be easier to hit a key and change while 'on the move" with the item.

  Hello everyone ... 

  I think it is perfect as it is.  
  We use the system in "AUTO" whenever we create a new quote, but almost every time you need to modify something, you use "INSERT"....   If it would be switched to "AUTO" automatically it would be very cumbersome.  I think it is good, that there are these keyboard shortcuts.
