Overview
Flex StaffingPlus is a new add-on module that gives you access to new features and functionality related to the staffing process in Flex. These features and functionality were designed to save you time as you go through the staffing process for your events. Additionally, Flex StaffingPlus brings more of your staffing work and data into Flex, reducing the need to use other software.
We currently have many other features that we plan to add to Flex StaffingPlus as shown below.
Current Features and Functionality
Flex StaffingPlus currently offers the following features and functionality:
- Sending Availability Inquiries and Offers Through the Staffing Assistant
- StaffingPlus In-app Notifications, received after inquiries or offers have been responded to
- Adding Daily Shifts to a Contact List (Crew Call) Line
- Creating a Labor PO from a Crew Call Line Item
- Setting a Bill Rate for a Specific Skill on a Contact
- Assignment Dashboard, which is a birds-eye view of upcoming jobs that have roles that need to be staffed (in an all new Gantt chart format!)
- Crew Dashboard, which is a birds-eye view of upcoming jobs that contacts are assigned to (in a Gantt view) and allows for adding or editing daily shifts

Planned Features and Functionality
We have an exciting list of feature and functionality that we plan on adding to Flex StaffingPlus. Additionally, we are always listening to feedback from our customers and will add to this list as we hear more good ideas regarding what you need in the product.
Some of the planned features and functionality include:
- Attaching documents to availability inquiries and offers - When you send an availability inquiry or offer to contacts, you can attach a document (like a contract, or an equipment list) for them to see.
- Increased and improved Assignment Dashboard features - We started with a baseline Assignment Dashboard that can give you a birds-eye view of your staffing needs, and we recognize that there is a lot more information and functionality that can improve the Dashboard. We will continue adding more as we receive feedback and requests.
- Adding "non-element" events to a contact schedule - This will be useful for both internal and external employees when you want to add not available dates for them that aren't necessarily tied to an element (like a Quote or Crew Call) in your Flex system.
- Contacts can enter unavailable dates when responding to an availability inquiry or offer - Instead of just responding to the specific dates of the availability inquiry and offer, a contact will be able to inform you of other unavailable dates in the future.
- Bulk Staffing Assistant Plus - You can select multiple lines and assign a single contact in bulk, or select multiple lines and have your availability inquiry or offer reference information from each selected line.
- More options when generating a Labor PO from a Crew Call - Right now a Labor PO is generated but doesn't carry over specific information (like dates and times, labor role, pricing, etc). We will continue to improve this based on user feedback and provide more options to include in the Labor PO generation process so you have less manual work to do.
- Sending text messages (SMS) through the Staffing Assistant Plus - We have been receiving many requests to add the ability to send text messages instead of emails when sending availability inquiries and offers. We are currently looking into how to implement this.
- Sync a contact's Google Calendar to Flex - Specifically, we are looking at how a contact (non Flex user) can sync their Google Calendar to Flex to send "busy" dates and update their contact schedule in Flex.
- Enter daily Shifts on a financial document line item - Right now you can only add Shifts to a line on a contact list element (like a Crew Call). We're looking into adding the ability to add Shifts on a financial document line item (like a Quote) so you can have that information handy earlier in the process.
- Automations for when changes happen on an event - If dates/times or anything else relevant changes on an event, there can be automations set up that will send updates selected contacts.
- Automations for when a contact hasn't responded to an availability inquiry or offer
- And much more as we receive and process customer feedback!
