Overview
A "legacy undo scan" refers to the process of reversing (or "undoing") a scan action that was performed before a specific system update (released on 01/15/2025). These scans lack references to recovery scans, which are present in newer scan records, and include other behaviors that are not expected. Scans performed after 01/15/2025 will run through the enhanced new Undo Scanning Engine. You can find more information on the transition here.
How is it Different?
As mentioned above, legacy undo scans differ from regular undo scan because they do not have a reference to a recovery scan. This means that when a scan on an item is undone, it is returned to the warehouse instead of where it was recovered from. This behavior is due to the absence of recovery scan data in older records but has been improved for future scans.
If you undo a scan that was performed before the reference date, the item will be returned to the warehouse. You will need to manually move it back to the job it was originally assigned to.
