Overview
When you click the Edit Calendar Template cog-wheel next to the calendar template selector, you will see a popup with settings for that calendar.
The third tab in the calendar template settings popup is "Element Types"
The settings on this tab allow you to choose which elements and statuses show on a calendar template.
For example: You might want to show Quote elements in the Inquiry, Tentative, and Confirmed statuses, but not show Quote elements in the Cancelled or Closed statuses.
Enabling and Disabling Element Types on a Calendar
- Click the Edit Calendar Template cog-wheel next to the calendar template selector (this will open calendar settings for the currently selected calendar template)
- Click the Element Types tab.
- Click the checkbox next to any element or status you want to show on the calendar.
- Click OK.
If the checkbox has a check mark in it, that means that element or status is enabled and will show on the calendar.
If the checkbox does not have a check mark in it, that means the element or status is not enabled and will not show on the calendar.
Special Considerations
Sometimes you might have a status that is used by multiple elements. It is acceptable to have the status enabled for one element and disabled for another.
For example: The Event Folder element has the Confirmed status enabled, but the Invoice element has the Confirmed status disabled.
There are some scenarios in which an element or status is not enabled for a calendar but that element or status will still show in the "List View" of the calendar. For example: the Quote element might be disabled for a calendar, but Pull Sheets are enabled. If the Pull Sheet is a child of a Quote, then sometimes the Quote will have to show.
