Tags

Adding a Tag

1. In the  Main Menu, go to  System Settings and select Tags.
2. Click the  Add New Tag button in the bottom left.
3. Enter a Name.
4. Click OK.

Editing a Tag

1. In the  Main Menu, go to  System Settings and select Tags.
2. Double-click on the tag that you want to edit.
3. Edit the information.
4. Click OK.

Applying a Tag to a Resource

For an Inventory Model

1. Open an inventory model by double-clicking on an inventory item name in the Inventory Browser or in the Search Browser.
2. Select the   Edit Model icon in the top right menu.
3. Scroll down to the Tags field, begin typing, and choose the Tag name you want to apply.
   • If the tag does not exist, you will have the option to add a new tag here.
4. Click OK.

For a Contact

1. Open a contact by double-clicking on the contact name in the Contact Browser or in the Search Browser.
2. Select the   Edit Contact icon in the top right menu.
3. Scroll down to the Tags field, begin typing, and choose the Tag name you want to apply.
   • If the tag does not exist, you will have the option to add a new tag here.
4. Click OK.

For a Service Offering

1. Open a service offering by double-clicking on the service name in the Service Browser or in the Search Browser.
2. Select the   Edit Service icon in the top right menu.
3. In the Tags field, begin typing, and choose the Tag name you want to apply.
   • If the tag does not exist, you will have the option to add a new tag here.
4. Click OK.

Searching for a Resource by its Tag

After a tag, or tags, have been applied to a resource, like an inventory model, you will now be able to search by it within the Search Browser. In the Resource Browser menu, click the  Search icon. Make sure the filter is set to either "All", "Inventory", "Contacts", or "Services" then begin typing the tag name. Any resource that has a tag with the name will appear.

Bulk Updating Inventory Model Tags

Inventory model tags can be bulk updated within the Inventory Worksheet. This is a great tool to use when you want to apply the same tag(s) to multiple inventory models, or bulk remove tags from models. Click here to learn more about the Inventory Worksheet functionality.

Deleting a Tag

1. In the  Main Menu, go to  System Settings and select Tags.
2. Select the checkbox(s) of the Tag you want to delete.
3. Click the  Delete Selected Tag(s) icon located in the bottom left of the tab.
