Overview

Service Offerings are services that you want to charge to your customers. This can include labor, show expenses, travel, and more.

Service Offerings are organized into folders called Resource Types. There are several default Resource Types set up in Flex:

• Labor
• Services
• Show Expenses
• Travel

Creating a New Service Offering

1. Click the  Services button in the left-hand Resource Browser.
2. Click the  Configure icon.
3. Select the  Add New Service Offering icon in the footer (Alternatively, you can right-click on any Services folder in the Resource Browser, then click Create Service.)
4. Enter the new Service Offering information.
   • Name: The name that will appear in the resource browser and on Quotes.
   • Description: Optional description to provide more information about the service offering.
   • Resource Type: The Services folder that this service offering will appear in.
5. Click SAVE.

After the Service Offering is created, you will be able to select Production Tasks and Roles that are applicable.

The new Service Offering will now show in the corresponding Resource Type folder in the Services section of the Resource Browser. The Service Offering can be put onto a Quote or any other financial document.

Editing a Service Offering

1. Click the  Services button in the left-hand Resource Browser.
2. Double-click the Service Offering that you want to edit.
3. Select the   Edit icon.
4. Make changes to the Service Offering information.
5. Click SAVE.

Entering Service Offering Pricing

1. Click the  Services button in the left-hand Resource Browser.
2. Double-click the Service Offering that you want to edit.
3. Select the   Edit icon.
4. Click the Pricing tab of the Service Offering.
5. Enter the pricing information in each applicable Pricing Model row. (All changes are automatically saved.)

Whatever you enter in the Pricing tab of the Service Offering will be the default pricing when you put the Service Offering on a Quote (or any other financial element).

Deleting a Service Offering

1. Click the  Services button in the left-hand Resource Browser.
2. Double-click the Service Offering that you want to delete.
3. Click  Delete icon.

Alternatively, you can click the  Configure icon and delete a Service Offering there. On this page, you can also show Service Offerings that have been deleted (click the Show Deleted Only check box in the footer) and undelete them by clicking the  menu options and choosing Undelete.

Other Notes

• Values in a Service Offering's Code field require a Custom Report to be used as a value which appears in a report.
