Overview
The search screen can be accessed from most pages by tapping the search icon in the top right corner. If you don't see the search icon, then you are most likely on a form input screen, or on a scanning screen which utilizes the top right space with different icons that are related to scanning.
Search instruction begins at 8:50 in the video:
Searching for Contacts
- Tap the search icon in the top right corner (this icon is available on most screens except for scanning screens).
- Enter your search in the search field (remember, there is currently no filter on the search screen).
- Tap on the search result (in the left-hand list) that you want to view.
Notice how when you tap on a contact, you will see basic information about that contact in the right-hand side (the detail view). You can tap any of the information to call, email, or pull up a map for that contact.
There are also several actions, including opening the full view of the contact, editing the contact, and deleting the contact.
Notice the image or icon that appears next to the name in the search results. Flex will show an image or an icon depending on the following:
- If the contact has an image uploaded in Flex (Uploading Documents and Images to a Contact), then that image will show in the search results. An image uploaded to the contact entry in Flex will always take priority!
- If the contact does not have an image uploaded in Flex and has an email address entered, then Flex will search for a Gravitar image associated with that email address.
- If the email address has a Gravitar image uploaded, then that image will show in the search results.
- If the email address does not have a Gravitar image uploaded, then a generic icon will show.
- If the contact does not have an image uploaded in Flex and does not have an email address entered, then a generic icon will show.
Searching for Inventory
