Overview
You can set up Safe Work Methods in your Flex system, then print a report directly from a Pull Sheet (or another equipment list) showing the safe work method information.
Any Safe Work Method that you set up in Flex can be assigned to an inventory group, then when an item appears on a Pull Sheet (or another equipment list), you can print the "Safe Work Method Statement" report to show the safe work method information for those inventory items.
Adding a New Safe Work Method
- In the Main Menu, go to System Settings and select Safe Work Methods.
- Click the Add New Safe Work Method icon in the bottom left.
- Enter the name and other applicable information.
- Click OK.
Editing a Safe Work Method
- In the Main Menu, go to System Settings and select Safe Work Methods.
- Double-click the Safe Work Method that you want to edit.
- Edit the information.
- Click OK.
Assigning a Safe Work Method to an Inventory Group
Now that you have created Safe Work Methods, you can assign them to inventory groups. When inventory appears on a Pull Sheet (or another element) from a group that has a Safe Work Method assigned to it, you can print the "Safe Work Method Statement" report from the Pull Sheet and it will show the Safe Work Methods that are associated with any inventory on the Pull Sheet.
- Click the Inventory button in the left-hand Resource Browser.
- Click the Configure icon.
- Double-click the inventory group.
- Click the box next to any Safe Work Method that you want to be associated with the inventory group.
- Click OK.
Printing the Safe Work Method Statement
When inventory from a group that has a Safe Work Method assigned to it appears on a Pull Sheet (or another equipment list), you can print the "Safe Work Method Statement" report. This report will show the inventory item that has a Safe Work Method associated with it, and the information from the Safe Work Method.
To print the Safe Work Method Statement:
- Open the Pull Sheet (or another equipment list) for which you want to print the Safe Work Method Statement.
- Click Safe Work Method Statement in the Workbench Menu (under the Reports section).
- Choose the report options then click Generate Report.
If you don't see the Safe Work Method Statement in the Reports section of a Pull Sheet (or another equipment list), you will have to enable it in the Project Element Settings for the element.
- On the Projects menu, click Element Definitions.
- Double-click the element name (Pull Sheet, Manifest, etc.) for which you want to enable the "Safe Work Method Statement" report.
- Click the Reports tab.
- Check the box next to "Safe Work Method Statement" in the Enabled Element Level Reports section.
Deleting a Safe Work Method
- In the Main Menu, go to System Settings and select Safe Work Methods.
- Select the checkbox(s) of the Safe Work Method you want to delete.
- Click the Delete Selected Safe Work Method(s) icon located in the bottom left of the tab.
- Click OK.
Undeleting a Safe Work Method
- In the Main Menu, go to System Settings and select Safe Work Methods.
- Check the "Show Deleted Only" option located in the bottom left of the tab.
- Select the checkbox(s) of the Safe Work Method you want to undelete.
- Click the Undelete Selected Safe Work Method(s) icon located in the bottom left of the tab.
