Introduction
This article covers how to view information for PayEngine payment links sent from within Flex. Be sure to check out PayEngine | Overview and Key Concepts for general information.
View Sent Payment Link & Payment Status
On a PayEngine-enabled Flex element, click on Financials, then under PayEngine, click Integration Settings. Alternatively, you can navigate to Main Menu > Integrations > PayEngine. From this PayEngine Integrations Settings page, click the Transactions subtab.
The Transactions grid shows all the relevant information of your sent payment links.
- Element is the title of the Flex element (Quote, Invoice, etc...)
- Payment Link is the URL for the PayEngine payment link that was sent
- Payment Status is the current status coming from PayEngine
- Amount is the value entered on the Send Payment Link modal
- Description is the value entered on the Send Payment Link modal
- Payment Type is the specific payment used (ex. ACH, Visa, etc...)
- CC Fee* is the fee amount charged for a credit card transaction, if applicable
- Customer Name* is the first and last name taken from the payment link information
- Updated Date is the date and time the payment link was last updated
- Sent Date is the date and time the payment link was sent
- User is the logged in user who sent the payment link
- Transaction ID* is the PayEngine ID for this transaction
*These columns are not shown by default, but can be added to the view via Columns (as shown below)
From the Paid status and orange reflects an Unpaid status. This status is updated automatically with your connection to PayEngine, so it will always show the most up-to-date information.
Main Menu > Integrations > PayEngine > Transactions subtab, users can see that the status of a request is displayed and color-coded: green reflects aClicking on a Payment Link with the status Paid will lead to a PayEngine confirmation page, while links with the status Unpaid will lead users to a PayEngine page where they can make payments with a Credit Card or Bank Account (ACH).
Notifications (located in the left-hand Resource Browser menu) will include a link back to the element the payment link(s) were sent on and are enabled with the color-coded status so users can clearly see when completed payments have been made and statuses have been updated to Paid.
Cancelling Payment Links
In Flex, navigate to
Main Menu > Integrations > PayEngine > Transactions. Locate the three dot Action menu to the right of the checkboxes and click Cancel, which will trigger a popup to confirm you would like to cancel the payment.You can also cancel a Payment Link in PayEngine by navigating to your PayEngine Merchant Portal > Hosted Payments. All the way to the right is a toggle button, which you can click to deactivate the link. This will make the link invalid to anyone who clicks on it.
If a link has been successfully Cancelled with either method, it will appear in red with the link invalidated and unusable.
Note: Only Payment Links with the status Unpaid have the ability to be cancelled.
