Overview
Content Builder is the tool that you can use to scan inventory into a container within Flex, so when you prep the container, all the inventory inside it automatically scans with it. This tool is available for any inventory model that is classified as a "Unit Container."
Accessing Content Builder
There are a few different ways to access Content Builder:
- Scan or enter the barcode (within the barcode input box) of the container unit to automatically launch Content Builder.
- In the Main Menu, click the Warehouse menu, and then select Content Builder. Scan or enter the barcode of the container (within the barcode input box).
- On the serial unit's page, select the Contents tab, and click the Open in Content Builder button provided in the footer.
Using Content Builder
With a container unit opened in Content Builder, start scanning the inventory that you want to go inside the container. You can do this by scanning the barcode, typing in barcodes into the barcode input box, or by dragging and dropping items from the inventory browser.
Storage Requirements will show with the requested quantity and/or scanned quantity. If the storage requirement is a serialized model and you have scanned units into the container, you can uncollapse the inventory model to see what units were scanned.
Contents that are scanned into containers can be set to permanent. Depending on the Inventory Settings configuration in your system, when contents are not permanent, they will "explode" upon inbound scans and will no longer be located inside of the container. Permanent contents will not explode and will remain inside the container.
