Overview
Skills and Qualifications can be assigned to contacts and Services in your Flex system so you can see what skills the contact has. This is useful for when you are assigning contacts to labor roles using the Staffing Assistant.
Adding New Skills and Qualifications
- In the Main Menu, go to System Settings and select Skills and Qualifications.
- Click the Add New Skill icon on the bottom left in the page footer.
- Give the new skill a name and a description (optional).
- Click OK.
Editing Skills and Qualifications
- In the Main Menu, go to System Settings and click Skills and Qualifications.
- Double-click the skill / qualification that you want to edit.
- Edit the skill / qualification information.
- Click OK.
Assigning Skills and Qualifications to a Contact
- In the Resource Browser on the left, open the Contact menu and select the contact you want to add a skill / qualification to.
- Click the Skills tab.
- Select the check-boxes for any skills you would like enabled for the contact.
- Enter the skill level number as appropriate (typically 10 represents the highest skill level).
Assigning Default and Associated Roles to a Service Offering
When you use the Staffing Assistant, you are assigning contacts to labor service offerings. To make the staffing process easier, you can assign a default qualification to a labor service offering so when you are trying to assign a contact to that labor role it will filter and show only contacts who have that skill / qualification.
- In the Resource Browser, select the Services icon.
- Open the labor service offering to which you want to add a default qualification.
- Click the Roles tab.
- Select the check-boxes for any skill / qualification you would like enabled for the service offering. You can add multiple associated skills/ qualifications.
When you use the Staffing Assistant to assign a contact to the labor service offering, the Staffing Assistant will automatically filter based on the default qualification that was chosen for the service offering. As a result, only contacts that have that skill / qualification will be listed as options to choose.
Deleting Skills and Qualifications
- In the Main Menu, go to System Settings and select Skills and Qualifications.
- Select the check-box for the skills / qualifications that you want to delete.
- Click the Delete icon in the page footer.
